Towards late 2016, the D78 stock was in the final stages of being removed from service. I knew it was only a matter of months until they would serve their last journeys along the district line, and subsequently be harder to find "in the wild". I decided on christmas eve 2016 to wander down to the station and board the first D78 I saw, with the intention of taking one last journey of the District line on the old stock.
